Stern Grove JUNE 12 - AUGUST 14 Check out the lineup at Stern Grove featuring a free concert series in a stunning outdoor amphitheater every Sunday throughout the summer featuring artists world-renowned like Liz Phair, Cold War Kids, Old Crow Medicine Show, Leann Rimes, Taj Mahal, and more. Advanced reservations are required and select shows are also available through live stream. Outside Lands AUGUST 5 - 7 Don't miss Outside Lands, a 3-day festival celebrating music, food, wine, beer, art, and everything we love about the Bay Area taking place Friday, August 5 - Sunday, August 7. Acts vary from Sza, Phoebe Bridgers, and Post Malone to Green Day, Weezer, and more, and a special hometown performance by Illenium. Single-day or 3-day tickets can be purchased. Jerry Day AUGUST 18 Classic rock fans and Deadheads alike need to put this annual event on their list. Jerry Day, taking place August 18 honors San Francisco local and founding member of the Grateful Dead Jerry Garcia at McLaren Park near the Excelsior District where talented artists bring the best of his music to life. Beacon Grand Social Hosts have the lowdown, the Exploratorium and California Academy of Sciences aren't just for kids, but each opens up to host parties exclusively for adults every Thursday night. When the museums close, head back to The Post Room for a nightcap before calling it a day. The Exploratorium After Dark At After Dark, grab a drink and experience more than 600 interactive, hands-on exhibits of the Exploratorium, like mind-bending mirrors and dazzling light displays that explore perception, art, and science while a DJ spins atmospheric beats. Adult-only programming from guest speakers and specialty films to one-of-a-kind activities, are also featured each week that invite you to rethink the way you see the world around you. NightLife Nightlife at the California Academy of Sciences offers a four-story rainforest, cocktails in the aquarium, outdoor dining beneath the stars, late-night shows at the planetarium, nearly 40,000 live animals, and a variety of rotating exhibits and events so there's always something new to explore.
